Since it first officially opened in 2005, the Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course at Miramont has consistently earned rave reviews and has regularly been ranked among the top 10 to 15 courses in Texas.
According to the most recent rankings compiled by Golf Digest, Miramont's 7,127-yard, 22-hole course (18 championship holes and a four-hole "family" course) is ranked as the seventh-best golf venue (public or private) in the Lone Star State. Such accolades are common for Robert Trent Jones II courses, as his team of designers have created premier golf courses from South Africa to Russia and from Kansas to Kuala Lumpur. But Jones says he has always been particularly pleased with the Miramont design. "From the moment Mr. Donald A. Adam shared his vision for Miramont Country Club with us, I knew it was something so special that we wanted to be a part of it," said Jones II.
In addition to its spectacular, timeless and captivating design, Miramont's sparkling reputation as one of the premier golf courses in the state continues to improve because of the meticulous care it receives daily from the Grounds and Golf Course Maintenance Crew, allowing the course and landscaping to age gracefully.
"Next time I contemplate a quick trip to Scotland for a round at Gleneagles, I might just drive to Miramont instead," noted former LPGA Commissioner Jim Ritts. "From the moment the extraordinary and expansive, European manor-style Clubhouse came into view, I knew this was going to be a unique Texas golf experience. It is impossible to overstate the grandeur of the facilities at Miramont."

Each year, Miramont Country Club plays host to a variety of tournaments for our Members and their guests. Uniquely, two of our individual events, the Solo Scramble and Miramont Putting Championship, are co-ed. Here are some of our regular tournaments throughout the year:
Each spring, Miramont golf instructor, Jacob Kellogg, will lead an eight-week junior golf curriculum that covers full-swing, short game and on-course performance. This program will prepare Miramont's junior golfers for a summer full of golf. Each session has specific objectives and activities to address all the shots needed. Cost is $240 for the eight-week session.
Each June, children and grandchildren of Miramont Members and accompanied guests ages 5 to 12 are invited to join Miramont's golf coaches for Future Linksters Camp. All skills and aspects of golf will be covered in addition to an overview of critical rules and etiquette. The camp is designed to help children learn to have fun on the course while developing their ability to play well and setting a foundation for a lifetime around the game.
Each year, Miramont hosts a month-long program for female beginning golfers called the Fore for Four program, which is designed to help newcomers improve their game with golf instructional lessons and on-the-course classes. Participants will learn the basic rules, golf etiquette and lingo. The Miramont golf team will also cover how to care for the course, which tee box to play from and much more! Social distancing will be observed. Fore for Four is open to eligible adult Members (Golf Members or Members with Family Course Upgrade). The group will meet on the driving range Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. for a month. After meeting on the driving range, the group will go to the Family Course to play four holes.
