Donny Latham

Miramont Director of Agronomy Donny Latham joined the team in March 2022. Latham had previously served as the Director of Agronomy at Bentwater Yacht and Country Club in Montgomery (2017-2022) and San Antonio’s Club at Sonterra (2013-2017).

Latham, who was raised just outside of Temple, graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. He originally planned to attend medical school, but while working in Seattle as a biochemist, the lifelong golfer had a major change of heart. He returned to school in 2003 at the University of Arizona, earning a degree in plant sciences and turf grass management.

While attending the University of Arizona, he accepted a job with the Gallery Golf Club in Tucson, rising to become the assistant superintendent within six months. Following his graduation from Arizona, Latham was named as the senior assistant superintendent at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin (2003-2006). He then served as the golf course superintendent at Republic Golf Club in San Antonio (2006-2013).

Latham’s daughter, Grace, was born in 2003, while his son, Blake, was born in 2010.
