Stephen Phillips

Stephen Phillips joined the Miramont golf team in October 2023. Phillips went to school at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, where he successfully completed the PGM/PGA program and became a PGA Class A professional in 2007.

Phillips grew up in Mt. Vernon, a small farm town in Southern Indiana. His parents belonged to the only country club in the town (Western Hills Country Club), and Phillips started playing golf at the age of 5. He often played 36 plus holes a day and quickly became a proficient golfer who enjoyed playing in as many golf tournaments as his schedule would allow. By the age of 12, he knew he wanted to be a golf professional and started to study both his golf swing, as well as the swing of his friends and members at WHCC.

Phillips has been fortunate to work and learn at some of the best private clubs in the United States, including Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton Long Island, New York; Hyannisport Club in Hyannisport, Massachusetts; Country Club of the Rockies in Vail, Colorado; The Club at Admiral’s Cove in Jupiter, Florida; Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida; Stone Eagle Golf Club in Palm Desert, California; and The Quarry at La Quinta in La Quinta, California.
